Charter Boat - ideas?

Post by News of St. John »

I'm arriving on Christmas Day (woohoo!) and I am lucky enough to be able to spend two days with Captain John and Palm Tree Charters. The first day we're going to hit the usual spots - Pirates, the Caves, Willy T and of course, the Soggy Dollar. That being said, do any of my forum friends have any suggestions for the second trip? I was thinking to end up at Foxy's and then the Soggy Dollar again, but where should we go beforehand?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Do you enjoy snorkeling? If yes, than the Indians is a must see.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Yes, i definitely would like to snorkel there. We were unable to last time because the water was pretty rough.

Have you ever been to Bubbly Pool or Cooper Island? I am curious if those destinations would be worthwhile.

We were at Cooper a couple of years ago. We had a really nice lunch. At that time, the tables were right at the beach. The beach was very nice. Since then, it is under new management and there have been good reports about it on the sailing sites.

We are also looking for ideas for our February Capt John trip. Husband said he can skip White Bay.

We are considering Cooper, Diamond Cay, Sandy Cay.

After that woman died last year, the Bubbly Pool scares me. The advice I got from the TTOL site was basically don't even wade in if the seas are up.

Is the Indians an open water type of snorkel? My husband doesn't do open water snorkels after a horrifying trip in the DR. He likes to stick to snorkels close to land.
