Taxi rates

Our arrival is soon approaching and this year we are staying at lavender hill and won't be renting a car. Anybody rented taxis recently? Are the rates listed in the stj section above pretty close?

We don't plan on using them more than a couple times, but just like to be aware ahead of time.

Just left Lavender Hill on the 19th. Great week with Charlie & Bruce! We rented a car for the 8 days but mostly walked into town twice a day. Didn't use the taxi's this trip but for the first time, airport to Red Hook charged the posted rates; $11 per plus baggage. The drivers have historically charged us $15 per adult + bags. PIA and others will be amazed. Have fun.

And they actually charged the posted rate? Haven't seen that happen before.

This trip we stayed in 8E, for the third time. We have actually stayed in most of the others and never disappointed. Weather was 90% perfect, view from the wrap-around balcony breath taking, A/C was right-on and our 8 days went by like a weekend! Making plans now for our Westin timeshare, April. Can't wait.

We used taxi's a bit this last trip.

I'm pretty sure it cost $5/each to Caneel and $6/each to Trunk. These were taken to/from the Ferry dock area.
