Congrats on your 1 year anniversary and that "you get it". After a week or 2 of being home you'll start having STJ withdrawal and trying to figure out your next trip back. The pictures and video are excellent, thanks for posting! :D

My husband and I stayed at Creolla in 2009 and totally fell in love with it. It's a simple little cottage in a spectacular location, built in the island style to catch the breezes. I'm sure for many people it's too old-fashioned and rustic, but for us it was perfect. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it. It was fun looking at your pictures.

Well if everyone "got it" I guess there wouldn't be enough room for the rest of us :D so maybe it's a hidden blessing. We have a fun loving group of four heading down this saturday for a stay above Coral Bay. Simply can't wait! If you see a very (very) tall guy with some others, that'll likely be our gang... see you soon, friends.

Great trip report and nice pictures! Where in CT are you from? I am originally from Ansonia but haven't been back there in a while.

Small world!! What was the name of the store in Ansonia? We lived in Branford before moving to MN - great area just east of New Haven! I bet it will be tough for you to go to Hammonasett Beach in Madison this summer after experiencing St John's north shore beaches! I won't even put my foot in the lakes out here now - I'm a total beach snob!
