Boating
Coming down with 10 family members total in november and want to take a boating snorkel trip or sunset cruise while there. Any suggestions on boating companies that hold this many? Finding lots of boats with 6 max. Thanks!

I spoke with Andi from Born to Rhumb and she said they take 14 passengers and have unlimited alcohol including painkillers : ) Just thought I'd pass that on!

We were out on Born to Rhumb a few years back (under different owners) and really liked the boat. Lots of room, fast and a comfortable ride.

We face the six-passenger issue every November as well. What we've done in the past when we have more than six:
A. Stormy Petrel - They gave us a tour of The Baths, lunch on Cooper Island, a stop at The Caves, etc. This was on the expensive side, but they take good care of you:

B. Ocean Runner - You can rent your own boat, but what we've done is have them provide a captain for us. This was inexpensive (relatively speaking) and quite fun. You bring your own snacks and drinks, but they'll provide the coolers and ice.

C. Joined Larger Groups - Bad Kitty (http://www.calypsovi.com) and Island Spirit (http://www.divestjohn.com/sailing-trips) were both quite fun. I believe Island Spirit does a sunset sail, as does Kekoa (http://blacksailsvi.com/kekoa/Kekoa-St-John.html). We've never sailed on Kekoa (I'll fix that soon), but hear it's a good time.
D. Split Up - The Wayward Sailor (http://www.waywardsailor.net) holds only six, but is well worth splitting up for, especially if you have kids in the group. They'll take you out for a half-day (or a full day), and Captain Phil will go snorkeling with you and educate you on various marine life you come across. Another operator worth splitting the group up for is the famous Palm Tree Charters and Captain John (http://www.palmtreecharters.com). Try not to have fun on that boat. Captain John will take great care of your crew.
I believe Pia on the forum can offer many more options, offer good advice, and arrange it all for you free of charge.
