Suggestions for late arrival
This will be our first trip. We will be arriving at STT on sat at 830 pm. Only 3 more days. SO EXCITED. We are suppose to call our rental car company when we get to red hook and they are going to meet us in cruz bay. We will have 2 connecting flights on our way to STT, So hopefully we will get there on time and not be too late. Any suggestions, or things we need to know or do (or not do), so we don't miss the last ferry to cruz bay. We're first timers remember.

The last ferry out of Red Hook is at midnight, hopefully even if you are a bit late you should be able to make it. Just make sure you take the taxi to Red Hook, not Charlotte Amalie and you should be fine.
If you do happen to get in after midnight, you will be spending the night on STT
The Holiday Inn is a good choice, it is right on the CA harbour and you can take the first ferry out of CA the next morning (worst case scenerio only).

Late arrival
Just wondering which rental car company would be available to take calls that late on a Saturday night? Most of them close by 6PM. Just double check any communication you have for them.
I have heard of villa rental companies doing a late pickup but never rental car companies. It would be good to know who you are using, as one of the couples coming to our villa will be arriving from Miami on the late flight and we were told that they could not pickup a rental that late on St John.

We booked with courtesy rental car. They said if we called from Red Hook, they would meet us in cruz bay with a car. Then we would return to their office the next day to do paperwork. We have already paid a deposit on credit card. I do plan to call on Fri, before we leave , to double check with them again. They did however give me an after hours number to call. I told them when our flight was due in STT( hopefully we won't have too many delays with 3 connections to make). So. . . hopefully it will work like they said .
