Trip Report - Day 3 (October 4, 2012)
Trip Report - Day 3 (October 4, 2012)
Hello from the land of fun and sun. Sorry for the late report today, life just totally got in the way today, but that is for tomorrows report. Recap of Thursday first.
We must admit, we are getting up a little later each day as adjust our bodies to island mode. I even got up this morning to take pictures of the sunrise, and then went back to bed for another hour. Island time is the best. After a delicious breakfast cooked by Husband, it was off to snorkel for the morning. Beach of choice was Maho, beautiful as always.

It rained again today (for about 5 short minutes). Husband did not want to leave the water, so there he sat.

Overlook to Trunk Bay, goodness, those new life guard houses are ugly with a capital U! Just my opinion, sorry if it offends anyone.

We had a noon meeting with our attorney regarding the purchase of a house, so back to business for us two. Okay, fun and business, here is the view from his office as we waited to see him. Looking down into Cruz Bay.

And I never get tired of the view of Cruz Bay Harbor. Beautiful weather, hot, hot, hot, but indeed beautiful.

Business complete, it was back to the villa for sandwiches and chilling by the pool. The waves can be heard from the front deck, and they may or may not have put me to sleep for an afternoon nap. Anyone who knows me, knows that if I stop moving, I tend to fall asleep. So yes, nap it was.
We got a call from an island friend who asked if we wanted to go kayaking at sunset. Like we would say no to that. So cool, and lots of fun. He put us in a tandem and he took off in front of us in a single. We started out at Hawksnest, not the National Park Beach, but the portion next door that is privately owned, goodness the things we are seeing on this trip. St Johnians are so friendly. We went all the way to Trunk Bay and back, enjoying the colors of the evening. Mackels were jumping out of the water, high in the air as if to enjoy the sunset with us. The sunset was perfect. Sorry, no pictures as I was afraid of dumping my camera since I had never kayaked in the ocean before.
Back to the villa again, we had planned to go out to the Beach Bar to listen to some live music, but we were bushed, crusty, and hungry. Husband cooked two delicious steaks for us that we had purchased at St John Market earlier that day. Perfect choice to accompany our Liquid Sunshine by St John Brewers. I am one lucky girl.

Enjoying your live report. It takes such an effort to do while you are on the island. It does makes us feel like we are there too though. I Love Love Love being in the water when it rains those short burst of liquid sunshine!
