Re: St. John Ruins
Also worth mentioning is the old stone bridge and other cool ruins around Annaberg, as well as the America Hill ruins between Cinnamon and Maho.

If you haven't yet downloaded a copy of Trail Bandit's great map and hiking trail guide, by all means do so; it shows the locations of many ruins:
http://seestjohn.com/images/trails/trai ... %20map.pdf
Also, he sells folded, waterproof copies on his web site: http://www.trailbandit.org/store.
I framed and hung the rolled up version, and give each of our guests a copy of the folded map.
St. John has a lot to see that most visitors never encounter. Enjoy!

Re: St. John Ruins
Drive up Cocoloba and at a sharp turn to the right, you'll see an orange barrel (whoa, flashback!). The trail heads up from the corner and follows an old road (#20 on the Trail Bandit map). The road is remarkable because it's built on the side of the hill and is supported by stone embankments. At the top of the trail is a huge Kapok tree. A bit further and you come upon the Seiben ruins.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like they are more hidden at Brown Bay....
Re: St. John Ruins
The ruins at Brown Bay - if you are standing on the beach looking at the water you go all the way to the left - very easy to find
