What to do with a 8 am arrival time??

Post by PaminMaine »

I am considering a flight with a 8 am arrival time. I have several concerns. .What would we do ?!! Is there anyplace to stow our 2 carry ons and bags if we decide to hop a taxi and get to the beach? Our check in time is 3 pm at the villa. I suppose I could get the car rental early and leave them in the jeep.... I also pack a polar bear cooler. I guess I would get to test out their theory of keeping food frozen ?! Oh, the things I can endure to get one more day on the rock!

You could leave your luggage at Connections while you visit the beach.

Have you already asked if you could check-into the villa early?

oh boy-- second asking about the the early check in-- but if not rent the car early.... and then (obviously) just throw everything in there--but the food... hmmm if you park in the shade it will probably be ok-- (if it was frozen-- you will probably find that it stays that way if you just keep it under wraps!)
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>

Covering the cooler with the other carry-on bags will probably insulate it more and extend the frozen food's life.

Opportunity to have the extra day???
Take it! You will get things worked out on the other end! I agree with the others, if no one is in the villa prior to you coming, perhaps an early check in is an option!

Good for you to make it work... a nap on Maho may be just what you need after flying through the night!

I have looked at the villa calendar. As of this date, it is not booked. However, we are still a few months out. Trying to game plan for alternative ideas in case we cant leave our thing there early

The polar bear has kept our food frozen for 36+ hours during the last couple trips. However we were coming from freezing Maine in March! brrrrr....

Hmm wonder what time the Beach Bar opens.... Mimosa's on the beach for breakfast?? 8)

We've been able to drop our stuff at the villa while the cleaning was in progress. We were moving from one villa to another for a second week, called the mngmnt company, explained we had to vacate villa #1, had a few fridge and freezer items, would it be ok if we dropped this stuff off? We had previously rented this villa, so no need for escort, orientation, etc. They contacted the cleaning crew and asked them and they were happy to oblige; of course we tipped them and provided refreshing beverages and then they "insisted" we drop our luggage and other stuff too. :D

Sometimes you can leave your things with the villa management company. I would definitely check with them first but if everything is good and frozen prior to leaving then you should be fine. Also, like posted prior, Connections will hold your baggage for you as well.
