Fishing questions
Fishing questions
Hey all - I have been watching the forum for a while now as hubby and I visiting STJ in October. I have also just finished reading through Gerald Signer's book "St John Off The Beaten Track" and there are a couple mentions of areas where one may fish for bonefish. So, I'm wondering if
A) Is this really true that there are places for bone fishing?
B) Are any of these places any good?
C) Are there paces on island to rent rods to fish with?
D) lastly, can anyone recommend a fishing charter that is maybe not too expensive? I don't need to book a private charter and cannot afford some of the $400+ fees that I have seen already. I'm sure many are very worthy of the fees they charge but we are staying 2 weeks and I have a few other things I'd like to do so I just can't afford so much this time.
Thanks to any help you can give.

Re: Fishing questions
Hey Fisheye - thanks.
I'm not sure if we'll actually do it but I thought it was interesting to find mention of it in the book so thought I would ask around.
Hubby loves to fish so I do really try to get something in for him during our trips.
Anyway, thanks again fr the response

Re: Fishing questions
I keep gear on Island so don't know about renting. As far as a charter post when you are going to be there and you'd like to split it whit some others the charters can hold 6 people I like double header.

Water guy - good idea to post for others to join. I will remember that if I find something that fits.
