National Park Video - how to post YouTube videos!

Post by Anthony »

Check out this crusty old video!

How do you do it (you get this tip if you mouse over the youtube tag in the codes above):

"Enter the video ID string -- the video ID string is the part after v= in the URL"

So - I just put qVVureD0Ejk in the posting area, and the you highlight the text and click the YouTube button above right. Really easy!

Bumping!

If I were to wish to post this Youtube video I would:
go to the video on Youtube... this is the URL for my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLuMbrLyrvM&feature
then I would highlight the numbers/letters after the v= not including the &:
WLuMbrLyrvM copy them and paste them here into my posting box. Then highlight them again and click the "youtube" tab above the posting box.
If you click "quote" on my post, you will see how the code for the video looks before it is posted.
Then I preview my post to see if it works; if so, I submit it.

Vimeo works the same way.

Thought I was losing my mind .. and I probably am...but I read Anthony and Linda's post and all I could think was "what youtube button above". Duh.......you have to actually be composing/replying to a post to see that!
I'm tired ... and it shows!
I just tried to send a PM but no luck. Will try again tomorrow. I thought I was all good until I hit submit and it said "user not valid" or something like that. The user I was trying to send to was Anthony!

If there's a guide to PM's someone show me the way!
