Ferry option for departure trip

We r on island now and it has been a fabulous first visit for us. We are 7 adults and an 8 mo old, so lotsa luggage. We depart stt 2:35 p on us air saturday. Would it be feasible to do the Cruz-Charlotte Amalie ferry that leaves Cruz bay at 11:15 am?
Also seems like I have seen something about getting certain luggage porter help at stt?

You should be fine on the 11:15am but be at the dock in time for the 11am Red Hook just in case they are not running the downtown (they start to just cancel with no notice the further we get into off season) - the 11 Red Hook will be fine for a departure at 2:35pm if the downtown is not running and if they have cancelled the CA usually they will have a sign in the window but do ask.

I use any porter that is available but Daphine is the one that most people recommend but with a group your size you wont have any trouble. I think the cost is $4.00 per bag plus tip
