The Roundabout
The Roundabout
Can someone explain the roundaout to me? It's kinda confusing. I know how roundabouts work cuz we have plenty of them around here; I mean which roads intersect at it. Maybe label a map or draw a diagram or something? Also, are any of those roads one-way? Thanks!

It works the same way as any roundabout that you're used to, just the opposite direction, people park in the middle, and don't necessarily follow the rules
There is a one-way road, it's the one that goes to Donald Schnell's and the Animal Care Center.

Where the blue car is headed in the first picture is the one-way road.
In the second picture the two black buckets are at the start of the one-way road.

Yahoo travel has an interactive map showing the roundabout.

The best map that I have seen of Cruz Bay for the one way streets is on the St John App for the iPhone... unfortunately, I can not copy and paste it here.
I am not sure if the app is out for the Android yet.

Ok, so Prince St is only one way towards the water after King St. So am I right in saying that there are 5 roads total and only one of them is one-way (104 until the next intersection near the Marketplace)? Is the road to/from the car barges really one way? I don't seem to remember that. The new parking lot is in that empty area now right? How do you get to/from the lot?

Offering this in the hopes that it helps... I have not been there for three years... the roundabout was not finished then.

I hope someone else will clearly answer your last questions, but I THINK you are correct and that the one way is in the barge parking lot, not the street to and from.

The road to/from the car barge is a two way road not one way. There are 5 entrances/exits on the roundabout (none of the locals will know the names of the roads or even the numbers - we have a Prince Street and King Street - who knew). The roads are.........
1) Centerline
2) the one way road past the Tamarind Court
3) the road that goes past the fire station that will also take you to the car ferry
4) The road to town - goes past the police station, Woody's, La Tapa etc
5) the road that goes past the Lumberyard and exits in front of the old car ferry dock
Remember you give way to traffic in the roundabout.
Hope this helps
