B'day Trip Report (Pics added)
First off, Happy 50th JJ...love the laissez faire approach to vacationing and further proof that there's no wrong way to Saint J.
Jealous of the Eagle Ray sighting...still haven't seen one while snorkeling after five trips. We saw one swimming while on the beach, but couldn't get in fast enough. That nurse shark was pretty wild too.

It’s not about yesterday or tomorrow...It’s about today, for come what may – Sun, rain, or hurricane – we've only time for a smile, and none for sorrow

We stopped at Windswept(from Cinnamon and Peter) then walked to the other end of the beach at Windswept, then got back in the water and then snorkeled on to Trunk...It is very rocky..and I think you would need to go out really far to get around Windswept in order to snorkel all the way...judging by Google earth. Not sure I would wanna try it..but look at it on Google Earth before you try it..maybe some of the locals can chime in about it and may know more about it than I do...Hope this helps..Backtotheislands wrote:So, you can snorkel from Trunk all the way to Peter Bay? Peter Bay is private except by water, is that correct? How long does the snorkel take? We swam from the beach at Leinster out around Waterlemon and back and stayed in the water about 3 hours the day we did that. It wouldn't be anymore strenuous than that, correct? And Windswept is in between. Hmmm, I'd never even heard of that one.
I would snorkel over near Windswept again..but I dont think I would try getting on to the beach at Windswept again(from Cinnamon and Peter Bay side)..as I said..it was hard to get out of the water..very rocky and rough with the water hitting the rocks while we were trying to get out...Each time we have been we just rest for a bit and head back over...as its private property in the tree lines..

We did most of the time...We had great breezes..We had one evening when I missed the AC...but most of the time...we were fine without it...didnt really even miss not having it...Id not hesitate to stay there again...Last yr we did a baresite..and it wasnt as cool, I guess from being back in the trees...but still wasnt bad... we had taken battery operated fans...NJsurfsup wrote:We just returned from CB cottage 9D , could not have been happier with the view. I never would have expected to stay 3 of our 7 days hanging out at CB , but we did. Already planning to go back and try for a ten cabin. Did you have good breezes at night?
