Day 2 & 3, Waterlemon & Francis, Salt pond, Rams hea

Post by cindygad »

Day two brought me to one of my favorite snorkels, Leinster/Waterlemon bay.

We snorkeled and the three mooring balls on the walk in. There was a nurse shark sleeping close to where we went in. He slept the whole hour we snorkeled.

Went to Francis for afternoon no pictures just relaxed and everyone snorkeled at their leisure.

My daughter in law who is 4 month pregnant and oldest boy decided to make day 3 a Villa day. So the rest of us headed out early to do Rams Head.

<a href="http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012136.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012136.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012145.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012145.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012137.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012137.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

We snorkeled Blue cobblestone and it was the calmest it has ever been. If we would not have had our backpacks we would of snorkeled back to Salt pond.

<a href="http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012180.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012180.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Over to Drunk bay and Casandra contributed

<a href="http://s621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012200.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt29 ... 012200.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Snorkeled the right side of salt pond for the first time. We had left our cooler while we did the hike to Rams head on Salt pond. Someone must of been thirsty because they helped their selves to a beer and coke. At least they only had one a piece and left the rest for us.Evening was supper at the villa with pool time.

Sorry about the large size I am trying but not getting the size to decrease. I am using photobucket but doing something wrong. Any help is welcomed for further installments.

your reports are making me miss St John....

loved the view from Ram Head...but we did not take snorkel gear with us for Blue Cobblestone...

we did snorkel both sides at Salt Pond though earlier that week.

Love your pics, especially the nurse shark. We did not do Salt Pond bay this trip, but did do Leinster, not enough time in the day! I am missing STJ terribly.

I agree it is hard to fit it all in. We only had 8 days and I feel like we just gave the kids a taste of the island. Hopefully we peaked their interest and they will be back.

What problem with pictures...?!? :? I love them! :D I have never done Ram's Head... seems like every time we go there is some thing that keeps us from going. One day... Good to note about the back pack thing... You know we have mesh packs for the beach, I bet I could snorkel with one on my back... I would just have to make sure nothing in them would get ruiened.
