Thanksgiving week busy?

Post by Liquid Sunshine »

Hello! I have been searching through old posts looking for info on crowd levels during Thanksgiving week. Not really finding too much info, so wondering if anyone can share there experience with island crowd levels during Thanksgiving week? Thank You

Thanksgiving week

Post by NJsurfsup »

We spent Thanksgiving week of 2010 on STJ, our weather was fantastic, all the restaurants were open and there were no crowds to speak of. Parking was easy and we did not need reservations for dining. That being said it is shoulder season and people have caught on.

We were also there Thanksgiving week 2010. I didn't think it was crowded at all. I definitely plan to go over Thanksgiving again in the future.

We visit Thanksgiving week and the week after, and have never noticed it to be crowded. It's definitely less crowded than in March. Some villa rental companies will charge a little extra for Thanksgiving week (full capacity), but others don't. There are options for Thanksgiving dinner (Caneel Bay, Skinny Legs, catering from Katilady and sometimes Baked in the Sun). All restaurants seem to be open but not crowded. And the beaches aren't crowded either. It's a great time of year to visit.
