Anyone stay at one of the Bethany Condos?

Post by St. John Lover »

Trying to go 'on the cheap' this next trip. Have any of you stayed at any of the Bethany Condos? If so, which one(s) and what did you think? (ie Like/Dislike, why?, would you stay again etc).

I have stayed at Cruz Views and I have a couple favorites there but haven't stayed there in quite a while. It's good for what it is. Was considering possibly staying in unit #1 again but haven't been there in so long, I'm wondering how it's 'weathered' the time. Any input?

Thanks for all your help!

Bethany condos

Post by dannyboy »

My wife and I stayed at Coral Breeze a 2 br, 2 bath, 2 story condo in Bethany last year. We found it to be very comfortable, has a view of Great Cruz Bay and it's located right above the swimming pool. Nothing fancy, no real sunset view; the owner is local and was very responsive when we had questions or needed assistance. For the money, we felt it was a good value!

We're familiar with 2 other Bethany condos, Bliss and Oceana. Both are 1 br, 1 bath units each with a loft bedroom accessed by circular staircase. Bliss is quite nicely renovated and has a large deck facing west with a great sunset view! I seem to remember both these units were priced somewhat higher than Coral Breeze.

Hope this helps!

Is Bliss the one with the new granite counters? Someone had mentioned to me that the loft bedroom up the spiral stairs was too low to even stand up straight in. Is that true? Cause otherwise it looks really nice for the price?

Thanks for your help!

St. John Lover,

Yes, I believe that's true. Not a lot of headroom up there. I'm 5' 7" and I couldn't stand up in the loft bedroom.

PS: I sent you a PM on this post.

Bliss headroom

Post by dannyboy »

We looked at Bliss a couple of weeks ago; you can stand in the main part of the bedroom with no problem. I'm 6' 3" and I could stand up. In the back part of the room, you could not stand but to us, wouldn't be a big issue. Again, the condo is nicely renovated and the view from the deck is awesome! If the price suits you, I'd go for it!

Bumping for updates, we are considering a Bethany/Upper Deck condo and wondering if anybody has any new thoughts?

Teresa Rae, there's someone on TA who stayed at Cruz Views 1/Bliss in the last month. You might try there, if that's the review you're looking for.

Bliss is for sale so for me it's too big of a risk to make a reservation, there are a few others though that look interesting, Heavenly Villas is one, and Coral Breezes is another that I can remember off the top of my head.

Cruz Views #1 has been renovated recently. I think Captain Dan and Ruby stayed there recently.
