Trip Report 5/2-5/9 Part 5
Breakfast at the villa per usual.
This guy showed up.

We decided we would go to Solomon and Honeymoon today. I would guess about halfway down the Lind Point Trail it started raining, I mean really really raining. This made things a little slippery and a lot muddy. But, we pressed on assuming it would pass shortly. We got to Solomon and it started raining harder, and it stayed for a long while. The beach emptied, so we stayed and made the best of it.

I have only been twice but this was the most rain I have seen in terms of length of the shower and the amount coming down.

Despite this, we snorkeled for quite a while and it turned out to be great. We saw a huge school of Black Triggerfish, a Bonefish, and my favorite sighting of the day, a Peaock Flounder. I have to be honest, I had to look it up to figure out what it was. He literally started moving underneath me or I would have never seen him at all. When they are not moving their camo is super impressive. I stayed with him for a while but eventually he stopped moving around entirely.
Eventually those on the beach got pretty cold so we decided to head back and get cleaned up. we never made it to Honeymoon on this day, but more on that to come. We ordered pizza that night from Cafe Roma and we were all happy.

I haven't seen many pics of beaches in the rain, though I've been ON the beach in heavy rain. Your pics are just beautiful. Soothing.
One of our most joyful moments on St. John was at Honeymoon, when we were snorkeling in really hard rain AND brilliant sunshine. We laughed like kids. I'll never forget that.
