Contact lens solution readily available?

Post by AquaGirl »

Does anyone know if soft contact lens disinfecting solution is available on St John or do I need to get it in STT? I bring a bottle in carry on and some in checked luggage, but I like to know if its available somewhere in case my checked bag doesn't make the trip for a couple days. Its not that I don't trust USAir... On one of our trips to Tortola, I ran out. It took a while, but finally found it at a pharmacy for big $$.
Thanks!

It should be available at Chelsea Drugs (in the Marketplace, next to the new sushi place, Zero Sushi) without any problems... though it'll probably be cheaper (like almost everything) on STT.

I have always packed a travel size in my carry on bag and a full size bottle in the checked bag. I can generally make it a whole week with the travel size bottle. I have never run out. I don't know how long you will be there, but I doubt you can empty both bottles while there.

In an emergency, can get it at Chelsea Rx.

Don't forget to bring replacement lenses with you.

Just FYI, I've never had an issue taking multiple travel size bottles of the same product in one ziploc if you have the room, so you could take two travel bottles if you wanted to. But like jimg, I've never needed more than one bottle for even a 2-week trip.

They have it, but don't count on finding any late at night. $9.99 for the SMALL one (4 oz.).
