Best BBC on St. John?

Post by SuefromMA »

Okay - 9 days and counting. We stay on Virgin Gorda for 7 nights - then on to St. John for 4.

Okay - experts. I fell in love with BBC's on Smugglers Cove in Tortola. Made right there in a blender on the beach - made with fresh bananas -by a great bartender named Steve.

I have yet to find a place that could make them half as good. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sue

The Pool Bar at the Westin makes my favorite BBC's!

You may be waiting more than 3 months for a BBC at Smugglers Cove. All the vendors have been served cease and desist orders.

Here is the Beach Bar's recipe:
BBC
Similar in Texture and Richness to a Bushwacker. This Lesser Known, Easier Prepared, Concoction Can't be Beat When the Banana is Really Ripe. Just Like in Baking, an Overripe Banana is Going to Be Delicious Here!
(for one drink)

1.5 oz Bailey's
1 oz Light Rum
1.5 oz Coco Lopez
1/2 of a Fresh Very Ripe Banana
Put all ingredients in a blender. Blend till Smooth.
We garnish with a cherry, but you may think of something more creative...

I saw Painkillers on the menu at the Ocean House in Dennisport. I have to go back to get one 8)
