I think lobster at Morgan's was $35 per pound when we were there is February. I remember his meal was $70 that night.

One thing that I noticed is that the restaurants don't seem to have smaller sized lobsters, I remember few 1 or 1.5 lb options but lots of 1.75 and up offerings.

I don't think it's a regular thing, but Rhumblines had lobster @ $32/lb. when were were there at the end of February, they had no trouble with my request for just 1 lb. and it was delicious! I think it was a Sunday or Monday, so that might be when they have it as a special.

I love Caribbean lobster! I enjoyed it at Lime in Jan in fact so much I had it two times. On Wed nights I think it was 25$ a pound. They have a board and the small portions go fast. I think I was able to get a 1b and a 1/4. The second time I split it with my sister because they split it in half. I am not sure what night they have lobsters we just ate there on Wed's because they had all you can eat shrimp for 25$ and they had them then so check. We did need reservations and had for 6 pm. We got to bar before and had two for one drinks before 6 pm.

This is half we split it and the sides and a salad and it was plenty! 37.50 without salad.

Also I loved the lobster at ZOZO's

Me too!

In our experience, Lime Inn had lobsters more often than not.

I am not a huge lobster fan, I prefer shrimp...weird I know...But those dishes looked amazing!

I will call ahead and verify when on island...it might be doable after all!

When we were at Caneel in 2010 they had a "Grand Buffet" on Monday nights that featured lobster. I think it was about $70/pp at the time. Might be an option for you, although it was served in their "Beach Terrace" restaurant rather than at the Equator (so not as special a setting, in my opinion).

that buffet sounds wonderful...but over our budget since we are a family of four....

I don't know that I could eat enough to justify spending 70 each !but I am sure it would be delicious.....I have read several good comments on the forum about their buffett

Maybe I've become a lobster snob since moving to the East, but I just don't think that Caribbean lobsters are worth the price personally. CBama - save your money for some Maine lobsters when you get back home and use the money you save for other wonderful seafood like conch, mahi or grouper.

I'm a big lobster fan, however, I'm spoiled by the lobsters we get here in CT. Caribbean lobster is just too expensive for my tastes.
