Group of 7 adults and baby - 2 cabs necessary to ferry ?

Post by Fisheye »

we are planning our first family VACA to st John at the end of July
Villa rented and 2 vehicles reserved!
We will have our 8 month old grand baby so needless to say, we will have checked bags.
Will a private service like Rachel be able to accommodate all of us? Are there plenty of van type taxis available?
Thanks, y'all, as I have learned a lot from this forum!

I think all of the taxis are vans and they are lined up just waiting at the airport!! Or prearrange and they will have your name on a sign waiting for you!! Enjoy! :D

All the taxis I have seen are the 12 passenger van types. With a little one and luggage, I would recommend reserving a private taxi. I liked knowing that I had time to install the carseat and that we weren't going to be packed in like sardines.

Even Rachel may need two vehicles to get you to RH. If you call ahead, it can be arranged. The public taxis are all vans. You'll want to get a seat for the car seat established so you can get it strapped down properly. The public taxis will charge you per person and per bag. Rachel's $20 fare is a flat rate. If the 8 of you have more than 13 bags, a private taxi will cost less.
