Every beach on St John is a must see. Plus if you have time take a catamaran excursion over to Jost van Dyke for a day. I recommend Kekoa.

Some of my favorite place to eat are Miss Lucy's for lunch, beach bar shimp and fries with a pain killer for an afternoon snack, Uncle Joe's barbque for a great inexpensive dinner....

On my blog are some pictures from my trips on St John.

enjoy!

We come back from every trip with a new "favorite"

It all depends on the people, the weather, the water, the fish, the mood............

Off the Beaten Track by Gerald Singer is our guide book. It has led us to many a favorite place on the island.

Part of the charm of the island is to let it come to you and not to try to plan out every last minute or 'not to miss' activity. We've been blessed to be able to spend the last 9 Spring Breaks with our extended family and friends and there are still things on our proverbial TO DO list that haven't been checked off...including hikes, snorkles, day trips and restuarants.

I still remember the 1st time seeing the island for a day from a cruise ship...we rented a jeep and drove around the whole island...making beach and refreshment stops along the way...soaking in the all the stimuli that over loaded our senses. I would do the same if I were you...just go and see that 1st full day and see and experience...

As most have said, everyone has a different slant on whats good...or bad! Best advice I always give...Start with a good morning, good afternoon or good evening when meeting strangers and dress decent when in town. Our favorites...Maho, most east end stuff, stop by Tourist Trap and see the gang.. Trunk Bay (highly overated). Have fun, plan only what you have to let the rest unfold...and most important...Stay to the left when driving!

Have a lot of fun...
