Advice: Charter for a week or Villa/day charters
Ok so as many of you know, I jumped on the I'm Obsessed with St. John bandwagon when I was down there last week. I loved it so much that my husband and I are planning on returning for Christmas with the kids and potentially my parents.
When we were down there, we wanted to spend more time visiting the different islands and wish we had a boat. That led us to ponder over chartering a catamaran for a week. My only concern is that I will not want to sleep on a boat for a week and will long to be on land. Also, if we did the villa/day charter option, we would have to leave the other islands by a certain time every day in order to check back in to customs before they close.
So here is my question:
Do you all suggest that we charter a catamaran for a week? Or do you think that we should get a villa and schedule maybe three days with Palm Tree for the week?
Are there any villas that come with a boat? I highly doubt it but I thought I would ask.
Looking for any and all suggestions!
Villa criteria: I prefer North Shore views over South Shore after having spent a week out near Coral Bay.
Thanks!

I think that chartering a boat is an awesome idea however I have spent many nights on a boat. If you and your family haven't ever stayed on a boat things to consider is how the kids will be? are they prone to sea sickness will they miss the freedom to run around? Also you will have very limited space. If this still sounds good to you then go for it- The virgin's are the perfect area to charter a vacation.
