1 night on STT family of 4 ???
Hi Forum Friends,
For our family of 4 upcoming visit to STJ this summer, I was considering staying over 1 night on STT. Any recommendations on where to stay? I have looked at Secret Harbour...pros, cons or other suggestions?
As always, I appreciate your help!
Jo

We stayed at the Green Iguana last summer with our 6yo for one night prior to heading to STJ. We picked it because it was next to Blackbeard's Castle, our son is pirate crazy.
It was fine for one night. We checked in late afternoon and walked downtown for dinner, going down the famous steps. (we grabbed at taxi home) We walked downtown again for breakfast and then did the tour at Blackbeard's before catching the Caneel ferry.
It was a fun way to start the trip. We would do an overnight again on STT but might look to stay on the water so we could swim in the afternoon and morning. I would recommend Green Iguana if you are interested in doing "town" activities.

I've stayed at Secret Harbor and it's a great place if you arrive early enough to go and settle in and then have time to swim, enjoy the sunset, etc. If you're not going to STJ until later the next day, then yes, definately stay there and enjoy your day. The snorkeling is great and it's a nice, quiet, beautiful beach.

We also like the Mafolie hotel. The kids will love the pool, and you'll love the view from the pool area. They also have a little grill and bar right there by the pool that is SO very convenient. They might take a single night in the Summer. Really great restaurant right on the property, so you wouldn't need to travel out on your first night after traveling all day.
Good Luck! Have Fun!

Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina ?
Hi Everyone!
Thank you all for your thoughts on where to stay on STT for 1 night prior to heading to STJ.
I am still looking and trying to compare and came across Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina. Can anyone give me their thoughts about this place?
Thanks so much again for all the help! I really appreciate it!
