My sincere condolences are with you and your family now and in the days/months ahead. In time, your personal beliefs will bring you through the other side. Remember, tears are a river that carry you forward.
@Lex ~ such profound words. You told my exact story in your post. Thank you!
Carolyn, I only know you from your trip report. You are a strong, bright and amazing woman. My heart has been with you since you told us of your husband's stroke. I am terribly saddened by your loss. Please take care of yourself and relish the wonderful memories you have of the time with your husband.
We are holding you and your family in our thoughts and hope that collectively we can give you some extra needed strength and prayers. We are here for you 24/7.

Carolyn,
I'm so sorry. After all of the arrangements, and life settles back to normal, (whatever normal works out to for you), maybe you will get a chance to take your trip to St. John, and do something special for your husband. He would probably smile in heaven. We'll keep you in our prayers.
