Salt Pond Salt?

Post by SusieQT »

We have read about harvesting your own in the summer, is there any place to buy it now?

There is a man that sets up shop right outside the parking area at Salt Pond. He usually has salt that he sells which he got at Salt Pond. He also has some other really cool stuff. We buy something from him everytime we go to there.

I think you all are talking about Ital (Delroy Anthony). He is a lovely man that sets up there. We buy jewelry and gifts from him if he is around. Love his jumbie bead bracelets. He is a wonderful source of island culture. Last trip we bought some salt from him in a carved calabash bowl. He isn't there every trip, but it is worth the visit and if not you can stop by The Tourist Trap if they are open, for some passion fruit ice cream (heaven in a cup), and go for a dip at Lameshur.
