Coral Bay Organic Farm

Post by SusieQT »

Hi,

Can visitors shop there for small amounts of produce to consume on the island?

Thanks!

If you're asking about Josephine's in Coral Bay, then the answer is yes. She's open every day right now (or so we were told last week.) Plan to go before about 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon, as I don't think her closing time is set in stone. She has all sorts of greens - we just buy the Mixed Greens - and often has tomatoes and green peppers along with some other fresh vegetables.
Plus, she sometimes also carries amazing Banana Bread.

Have been to STJ more than a dozen times, and finally met Josephine this past May.
She was a work of art, agriculture,& engineering. Humble-yet proud of her work.
Was a treat to meet her, and plan to give her more business in the future.
She quickly taught me that I have alot of learning to do,in such a subtle fashion, regarding giving respect to the local greens & spices that grow on STJ.
Honestly, she moved like music.
(reminded me of My Sweet Amy, actually...)
Brilliant, and more than happy to get her hands dirty while sharing the bounty of her days work. Strangely delicious sprouts strike my memory; wish I was eating them now!
Simply wonderful.
Are you staying in Coral Bay? I'm sure there are plenty of family folks here on the forum who can give you appropriate directions. Let me know if I can help.-
Smiles-
