Love City Live

Post by Joppa »

I just purchased our tickets for Love City Live. Is anyone else planning on going? Did anyone go last year?

I am really excited to be able to have this experience. Our first year on STJ we saw a sign at Island Blues for a Reggae band tonight. So we went. The band was actually from NH, about 40 miles NW of us. They were okay but not what we were expecting. Now 4 years later we are really excited about Love City Live.

I'm not sure about chairs. I looked through some photo's of last year and I didn't see any chairs, but all the photos were directed at the stage. Discount tickets are available until the end of the month.

Haven't done Love City Live but did the Festival reggae show at the Ball Park last Summer with Tarrus Riley headlining. Droves of folk from STT came over for the show - not many touristas. It was quite chill. They had big piles of plastic lawn chairs on the sides of the field that you could plant wherever you wanted to. Bambu Station is awesome by the way so definitely go.

Have to say that they pulled the old trick whereby the sound system seemed purposefully tweaked out until the headliner came out. It didn't please the IV folk very much....can't hardly blame them. Not sure if this is the SOP or directed by headliner's management.
