Lionfish Invasion

This trip I counted over half a dozen lionfish at three different locations around St. John. I saw 5 at Salt Pond in one day! The others were at Little Lameshur and near Vie's beach.
I reported my sightings to a Park Ranger but I'm wondering just how much action they now take when they are alerted. There doesn't seem like much they can do to stop these fish from invading.
