Tonight at 8pm. on Animal Planet is a very heartwarming story of a soldier and a puppy his family adopted after he was killed in Iraq the day after the puppies were found.
His mom was in my high school class, class of 1974 from Windsor, VT. Her name Rhonda Noel Rollins. They named the dog Hero.

Thanks for letting us know. I have it taped and will most likely cry as I watch it later. So many sad stories, I hope Hero is bringing your friend some comfort.

So glad that Hero and Justin's loved ones were united... thanks for posting... I would not have known this story otherwise.

Just turned on 20/20 and this story is being featured again. So happy that Hero is helping this family heal. It touches my heart.
