Bucharest ?

I have an opportunity to visit Bucharest for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year holiday.

Wondering if anyone has been there and what the hi-lites would be. I will have a Romanaian "tour guide" born & raised there, but I know how it is when people come to my City -- I take most of what we have for granted and don't always think to show them what they would find interesting & unique because I don't always appreciate what's in my own backyard.
