Morgan's point

Post by SRT »

Hi, I'm thinking of renting this villa. I've read all of the reviews. When I look at the map, it seems close to the road which makes me wonder if there is "road noise". It wasn't mentioned in any of the reviews. Anyone stay there that can comment? PM me if you have any other information you would share.
Thanks

It is in a residential area so while there may be some road noise, I really don't remember it as being noticable. There is not a lot of traffic.

The pool is not right outside the door. Since the house is built on a steep hill it is lower than the house, so you have to exit the house and walk a few steps down the driveway.

The house is older but incredibly maintained. It is not luxurious but it is very well kept, clean, and has a beautiful view.

I think it is one of the best villas in Great Cruz Bay when it comes to bang for your buck!

SRT, it's been a few years since we stayed there, but I don't remember noise being an issue at all, and we do notice such things. We spent a lot of time out on the big deck, which sits above the road, and it seemed quiet to me. As X said, there just isn't that much traffic on that road anyway...

We would definitely consider Morgan Point again! It's a great villa!

We were just there in July and never noticed any road noise...the driveway is a little steep but after the first day we had it down...its a lovely villa with a lot of upgrades that weren't mentioned. They have all stainless appliances and a new concrete counter top in the kitchen. The beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept on in a villa. The lay out is GREAT if you have kids. We really enjoyed the villa and you can't beat the price...can't tell you how we LOVED having AC in ALL the rooms...We'd definately rent the villa again...hope this helps.

I'm sure you have already sent your deposit. But, just to add what others have said....I stayed there in June and the villa was great. I don't recall any road noise at all. Have a great trip!
