Double Trouble
Double Trouble
We just returned from an awesome 7th trip. Weather and water were fabulous. Unfortunately, we spotted 2 lionfish - one at Haulover South and one at Salt Pond. They are beautiful fish but are so scary to see swimming nearby. We did not have markers but reported both sightings. I think there should be a box of markers at each beach that people could use while snorkeling to insure that each fish gets marked.

Wow! I really hope that these can be controlled. I know there are people that are very dedicated to removing Lion Fish but it seems like more could be done to get the word out. We went to 2 different dive shops last year and made purchases and no one said a word. They need to educate the tourists about these fish and the marker system. I did end up with a marker last year but not from either of the shops where I bought and rented gear.

St John Spice no longer has the markers to share; I am not sure about the park service.
