Anegada

Post by seagrape »

We'll be building our cottage while spending the summer on STJ and want to visit Anegada for a long weekend in July. We went there for the day on one of the Caneel Bay boats - arranged via Cinnamon Bay. We loved it and were wondering if any of you have stayed there. Where should we stay? We don't want to stay at the Reef.

We've seen several choices of cottages - anyone have any experience?

Thanks to you!

Anthony stayed there. I tried to find the entry on the Coconut Telegraph where he posted some pictures and a review, but I can't find it now. Anthony? :?:

We're hoping to get to Anegada when we're on Virgin Gorda in June.

I think RickG stayed at Neptune's Treasure. At least I think that's it. Definitely Neptune's something. It looked great when I checked it out a few weeks ago.

We love Anegada and want to get back there. It is the kind of place where you can't go for a walk without EVERY car going by stopping and offering you a ride. When the bars find out that you are on island for a while they insist that you keep your tab open and just stop by before you leave to close it. There's great beauty in place and people. It is FLAT. You can walk 27 miles on the beach.

Note: Clair Aero service is defunct.

I second daff2's suggestion. TTOL is a great forum for the BVI, and everyone is happy to answer your questions. We leave Tuesday for Tortola, Virgin Gorda, and a day trip to Anegada. Good luck.

Cow Wreck is a nice place. We have some friends that stay there when they are on Anegada. They love the owners. Have fun!
