!st time to STJ in June

Post by Arkie »

We are going to STJ for last two weeks in June through 4th weekend. Staying at Estate Lindholm. I have been a forum lurker for a few months and have enjoyed all the info on this forum. I am renting a jeep at the STT airport. Has anyone stayed at Lindholm or have any advice. Thanks again for all the info shared on this site.

Hi! We will be down there from June 22-29th. Best advice is to kick back unwind and enjoy the island life. I hope you have an awesome trip. I hope you come to fall in love with this island as many of us already have. Enjoy!

You're gonna love Estate Lindholm. We'll be there June 7th and 8th before we get into our villa on the 9th so maybe we'll see you there. EL is a great place to stay on your first time to STJ. Believe me it won't be your last. You'll get the St. John bug just like the rest of us. My countdown is at 40 days today :D I'm starting to stage the items I need to pack in the spare bedroom already.

Arkie - you will LOVE Estate Lindholm. It is beautifully landscaped to where you feel like you are in your own tropical paradise within paradise.

Lauren and her husband, Brion are wonderful. They are full of great stories and excellent suggestions. They have never steered us wrong.

The breakfasts with the other guests are a nice way to get suggestions on things to do as well.

We have stayed in three different rooms there on different occasions and have liked all of them. Last time we were on island was our first time staying there the entire trip and we were very happy with it. We would defintely stay there again if just the two of us were going.

We also felt like we had the place to ourselves (except at breakfast) because we never seemed to see (or hear) the other guests.

They have beach towels to use so don't bother lugging your own. They also have tons of coolers and ice chests to choose from if you want to take one to the beach and lots of beach chairs as well.

It is also in a great location, close to town and close to all of the North Shore beaches.

You will be very happy with your stay. If you have any questions, feel free to email or pm me.

Thanks for your comments. I have been to STJ about 10 years ago with 11 of my relatives. We stayed in a villa and had a blast. This time it is my hubbie (his first trip) and me. We didn't want to do a villa just for the 2 of us so he found EL. It sounds wonderful. I am so glad you have shared your wonderful experiences with EL with us. I can't wait til we get there! 8) Thanks so much!

Arkie, not sure if when you say through the 4th, you mean you're leaving on the 4th. If you are, just a heads up that depending on when your out time you might want to leave a bit earlier with all the parade preparations going on.

But if you're leaving the next day, you'll have a great time enjoing a good old fashion island 4th of July parade, with fireworks out in the bay at 9.00 in the evening

Even if you leave on the 4th, the Carnival Village will be open for about five days prior and there is music and fun every evening.

You'll enjoy that time of the year.

Estae Lindholm is right next door to Asolare. I would recommend eating there for a fancy night out if you are interested in that kind of thing. There is a great view and when we ate there last year we were very impressed by the food and service (after having had some not-so-great experiences there in previous years).

Have a great trip!

Bro, two week is key. You will fall in love. You are doing this right. I know this obvious, but drive every road and find your pleaseure spot. NoTanLines and I were there today on Francis Bay. Francis Bay is not perfect, except for us.

Jah, love.

Cheers, RickG & NoTanLines
