Day 7: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/f ... hp?t=21438
We woke up around 7:30, and were out of the house around 8:30ish. Jumbie was the destination du jour.
That is...until we got there and saw this:

We passed 2 couples coming up while we were walking down, and this explained it.
ROUGH AND CHOPPY.
No worries. We hopped in and attempted to snorkel to the right, and circle back around to the left. I managed to get a few [not-so-great] pictures before we gave up and packed it up.

SO disappointing since Jumbie was one of my FAVORITES on previous trips.
We headed to Francis. Funny how just a little bit farther away can make such a huge difference in the weather / water conditions!

Before we even began to snorkel, we immediately saw conch and stingray. AWESOME.

We began our snorkel (RIGHT SIDE of Francis), and saw two turtles. This was a LONG snorkel - about an hour and a half. It was SO ROUGH coming back to shore because of the current. I had no idea we were out that far!! Or maybe the current just made it seem that way?!? Anyway, chalk it up to a great workout!
SO SORRY I don't have a lot of great underwater shots. I don't know what it was this trip, but the water was extremely murky - I blame Tropical Storm Emily.
We relaxed in the shallow water to recover from the snorkel, and saw an iguana drinking some water, and enjoyed a little gang of fish that kept circling us.

We left around noon, and on the way out, saw a turtle swimming along the shore in the shallows. Francis is awesome!!!

We headed to Skinny Legs because...well...why not?
I had the special - swiss, bacon, jalapenos. We enjoyed coconut swizzles and key lime coladas.
Funny thing while at Skinny's - a lady sitting next to us asked an employee where the blue cheese came from. What?! Where do people come up with this stuff? Who cares?!?! Just eat it!!!
After Skinny's, we headed to Hawsksnest and relaxed and read. Still have yet to snorkel Hawsknest. Next year!

We then headed to the Marketplace and rented two videos. We picked up more Doritos, creamer, ham, newspapers, oreos, and muffins, and headed home around 4 to shower and rest up from our busy and fun day.
