A child died

Post by Lex »

Actually a lot of children died. Tens of thousands. They all starved to death.

Famine, starvation and death are rampant in East Africa now. We donated some money last week. We've just been to Cape Cod for a few days. We probably spent more on coffee and ice cream than we donated to children who are in danger of starving to death in East Africa.

We'll be donating more.

I encourage everyone to consider helping. Here are some links with info on organizations at work in the area:

Thanks for posting, Lex. It's so easy to get caught up in day to day life and forget, especially if it's a "quiet" crisis like a famine instead of a dramatic one like an earthquake or storm (but we forget those too, eventually).

Thanks for the reminder.
