Andara

Post by greyhoundmom »

Oh, my, my....is this not the most amazing new build ever? I want to sit on the outside veranda, enjoy the amazing pool and bask in it. I want to rent it for two weeks and bring people who will appreciate it. I see that it is already booked for most of low season 2012. I need to win the lottery because two weeks is a must! I have never drooled about a villa but this one is it! I love the furnishings, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the view, the outside amenities, amazing. The child in me loves the starfish going down the steps of the pool (the turtles aren't bad either!)Thank you, Andara owners for a most excellent home! Jan
p.s. Did I say I loved your home???? :)

It's insane! We drove by last fall while it was still under construction and were enthralled with it. The driveway had "No Trespassing" signs, so we yelled down the drive hoping a worker would come let us take a look. No such luck. It's an amazing place for sure!

Hi there forum friends! My husband and I built Andara, or rather our wonderful builder did :)
Building on St John was a fabulous experience and we still can't believe that we pulled off this dream almost 20 years in the making.
If you haven't already found it I wrote a building blog last year and it, along with lots of photos can be found on our website http://www.andaravilla.com.

We will be on STJ in a few weeks and plan to get our webcam in action. Then I will NEVER get any work done as I will want to watch the comings and goings on the Sir Frances Drake Channel all day.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We look forward to sharing Andara with folks that love the island as much as we do.

Congratulations and best wishes on this 20 year dream becoming a Reality!
Just last week I found the Beautiful Andara Villa. WOW, what a Fabulous Villa and how fitting, "Just Another Day in Paradise"!
I have saved your site as a favorite! We are planning a second trip to STJ next summer. We are taking a few friends with us and may need a larger villa, won't know until January on how many will be making this trip with us. We will be on STJ 2 weeks and our friends joining us for only 1 week...may have to split our stay so we can enjoy Andara ourselves!
Thank you for sharing your dream with those of us still dreaming!

GoldenDaze, you guys have done the most spectacular build. It is stunning. I know you will have many, many wonderful years enjoying your home when you aren't renting it to the rest of us. I have been coming to the rock for six years and have never been star struck by a villa, but yours takes the cake. We took a break in 2009 to stay at home and save up for our next STJ vacation. We are thinking 2012 might be the next break because we want to come back for 2 weeks. Darn, I need a second job! Your Andara is our next splurge and we are planning furiously for it. Thank you for the beautiful build. You guys rock!

Bev, when we win the lottery, you call me and when I win I'll call you and we will party until the donkeys come home!!! :D Jan

Gotta agree with my forum peeps-
Gorgeous home!- Congrats!
I think I stumbled on it @ a month or 2 ago, and went into looking for 2 other couples to share it with;only one could commit. Then, sadly for us, it got scooped up & the availability wasn't there...
Hopefully we'll be there before too long. Now, let's talk about a "forum discount" !
All the same-(again) unbelievably gorgeous home!
Smiles-

I'm really wanting to stay there, but I think we might have to many people next trip  I'm assuming the max number of people includes kids. If not, we're good, if so, we may have a couple too many... unless there is somewhere they can crash. Air mattresses?
