What would you do?!?

Post by seagrape »

Okay, so am walking along an unnamed beach on July 4 and find a plastic bag with cash and a debit card. Tried to contact the debit card company MANY times (Bank of America). Won't contact the owner of the bag 'o cash (not very much), so can't return it to him. Want to! Anyone know a guy named Marshall (1st name). Would love to return him his cash and perhaps a story or two...Thanks.

I bet he buried it in the sand while he went snorkeling and just forgot it. Either way, maybe someone in town will remember him from using his credit card in their shop. It's an unusual name, someone might remember him. Why won't his credit card company contact him and tell him his card has been found? The guy probably canceled it, but you'd think they'd let him know anyway.

If Marshall doesn't surface, I say donate the cash to your favorite STJ charity.

I know a Marshall that sometimes lives on STJ, but it is killing me right this second that I can not remember his last name. Pia or Ruth would remember but I am almost 100% sure it starts with a W.

If the card you found ends with a W, send me a PM

Please post if this money and card end up in the hands of it's owner. What a great story. You don't hear of many people going to such great lengths to do the right thing. It makes me smile!! STJ peeps rock!

I had a similar thing happen to me. I lost my Credit Card sized ziplock with a CC, Drivers license and small amount of cash in it while snorkeling Waterlemon. We returned and searched for it and had written it off, cancelled the CC and the day I was headed to the license office to replace the DL I recieved a letter from the islands. The fine folks who operate Chillaxin had found the bag and returned it. I was very pleasantly surprised to have it returned.
