We woke to filtered sunlight through the bedroom door once again. Last night we discovered that we had forgotten to get bread, so Capn Dan caught Dan as he left for STJ and asked him if he would mind picking up a loaf of bread for us as he was out. No problem! He was back in about an hour clutching a loaf of bread. Capn Dan asked him if he had returned just to deliver the bread (we certainly didn’t want him to do that!) He assured us that he had to return to prepare for a charter that he had today. By the way his charter is Lovango Charters with Dan Boyd. He has invited us to go out with him and a group of friends on Sunday. I am so excited! He only does the out of the way snorkel spots around St. John and stops at Miss Lucy’s for lunch. I will let you know how it is. We just hung out all morning then after lunch we went for a snorkel to the right of the dock. It is a fairly strong current, but worth the extra effort. The reefs on this side of the island are beautiful! There are some of the largest elk horn coral that I have ever seen! We saw a tiny rock beach and decided to look for an entry. It was a little tough, but we made it and climbing among the rocks was fun. It appears that there was once a dock here for right in front of this little beach was some huge remains of dock pilings lying at an angle in the water. They looked so ominous as we swam around them, and I certainly would want to avoid this area if I was a boater. We snorkeled lazily back to the dock area and a little beyond and came up by the area known as the beach shack, which is a lean to hut with chairs, beach stuff and a Paulie’s Island Rope Hammock strung just under a beautiful coconut palm.

After rinsing off, Capn Dan and I managed to both lay down on it and took a short nap, then up for a hot water shower! You know when you don’t have something for a day or two you really appreciate it! Marcie came down with her horse, Winter and dogs Onyx and Eeyore so Winter could play on the beach for a while. It was so nice chatting and watching that magnificent animal play like a dog. At one point she ran straight up the beach towards us. I could feel the vibration of her hooves as she thundered past. Marcie is going to help the lady that has the stables on STJ tomorrow. She is the person who gave her Winter, and works that stable pretty much on her own, so Marcie and her friend will help many Saturdays, and then they take riding lessons. Pretty cool. I have come to understand that Marcie and Dan like so many island residences are serious animal lovers and often take in animals which need homes.

Now for more limin’ ahhhhhh!

Supper was curried chicken and bean salad from the deli with left over rice from Candie’s and a little pepper that a lady at a shop at Mongoose gave us. It originally came from Dominica and was very nice. I down loaded pictures and video into my computer and updated my report. Now for rum and more relaxing. Good night all.

Oh!!! A horse on the beach and you got to see it first hand. I am so jealous. I would have loved to have seen him. Great photos!

Coden, I did cry a little as I spent my last evening in the hammock! I never wanted to leave.

GHM, The horse was so incredible! One of my favorite parts of Lovango was feeling like I was a part of the community there and sharring Marcie's pets!

WOW! I almost thought that horse was a unicorn! So sureal! And it's Marcie's horse? I can just see it riding over on Capt. Dan's boat! And so glad his charter business is up and running!
Lovin' all your pics especially of our pal Eeyore and that killer view! I miss Lovango! Waaaaa!!
