Leaving for St John on Monday!! So excited. Now I am starting to worry that it will soon be over. Anticipating the walk of woe!! Am I nuts? Anyone else on this forum torturing themselves?

When I first arrive, I have the mindset that I'll be there for a good while. :D Usually, when day 5 arrives, the harsh reality sets in :(

Bill,

I think this is a symptom of you inability to get off the New York State of Mind and on Island time. The treatment for this disorder varies from patient to patient. Some find relief during the flight into STT. Others find the symptoms disappear when they are hit in the face with that warm, moist air at the door of the aircraft. The more resistant cases are successfully treated with a ferry ride. If no relief is felt on the ferry dock, you may need an second consecutive week of being quarantined on STJ.

Now, take two painkillers and call me in the morning.

JIM

Bahaha, jim! Good advice! Bill, my trip is 18 days & counting, and I do the same thing! Especially, since I return on Aug. 2 and report back to school the next week. NOOOOO!!!! I just want to stay there! I've been dreaming . . . looking at what's for sale there. 3 years and I can retire and I just want to live there!!!!

When I get off the plane and start the walk toward the cab stand, happy to be there and off the plane, I often look into the waiting lounge and look at the sad faces of those who are leaving. Sometimes our eyes meet and I get cold chill. Then I wash it away with my first shot of flavored rum at the stand. And all is better.

Have a nice trip.

Unfortunately, I do the same thing - every time. It really start when the Villa management co. or Limo co. start asking for departure information. augh...
