I just heard on our local news this morning of a bus accident on STJ yesterday.

This is so awful! She sounds like an amazing woman, especially giving of herself to help others after she passed. RIP Sarah.

This article from the Patriot Ledger include more detail regarding some of Sarah's volunteer work, activities, and accomplishments. She sounds like an incredible young woman.

So tragic - my thought and prayers go out to the family.

Here is the report from our local paper - so strange how she fell out on the flat section of the road at Maho.

What a terrible shame. The St. John Source link doesn't seem to be working but I saw the story in my local paper. She seemed like such a wonderful young lady.

Wow, that's terrible, I can't imagine how a fall like that could be fatal. Just goes to show you that you can never be too careful. Freak accidents can happen anytime.
Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.

Right in front of our house, we saw a woman fall off her bike and hit her head on the pavement. She was riding with her very young child and was barely pedalling, moving very slowly. She sustained a very serious brain injury and a broken jaw. It just didn't seem possible that it was as serious as it was. I guess the velocity is what makes a seemingly small fall tragic.

I know I will never feel the same riding in an open taxi again.

Ironically, only a few weeks ago, an 18 year old boy from Hingham, the town next to Norwell where Sarah Dargon was from, was killed after falling from his friends car that was going no more than 5 mph. He sustained a brain stem injury. Tragic stories that remind us of how fragile life can be.

A local news station is reporting that the STJ Police are saying the young woman was intoxicated.

The parents said the M.E. report showed there was no alcohol in her blood or organs which were donated.

I had heard the same. Unfortunately when intoxication is the assumption, that makes it into the news reports before anything scientific can be determined.

Wow. Horrible freak accident. But reminds me that it's better to have my kids ride on the inside of the taxi, not against the rails. Thinking about her family. Very tragic.
