Gotta Out Smart Them
Gotta Out Smart Them
Leaving Thursday for 10 Days on Island. Have been a Patriots Season Ticket holder since 1975. Have been trying to get to watch the NFL Draft on Saturday but my wife said NO WAY. Had to get a way to watch, we have 2 first round picks. I suprised her today with a Massage treatment from Nomadic Spa. She was so happy that she scheduled it on Saturday so I can watch the Draft. You know what they say on the commercial. Watching the Draft PRICELESS!!!

The thing that makes her really smart is that she allows you to think that you outsmarted her.
Think about it...she got a massage and you get to watch the draft. Mind you, I'm a pro football freak...but even I can't "watch the draft."
We've been on island during the draft in years past. I'll admit to running from the pool to the tv every once in awhile to see what was going on...nearly killed myself several times...wet feet on living room tile can be dangerous. But, actually sitting and watching it...you must be hardcore.

MB, It really is a economic plight right now.we both can get the time, but we kind of over extended in Nov./Dec when we went. Found airfare for $268.00 rt. Found a decent 3 br 2b villa for about a grand a week. Split that with 2 couples, that ain't bad. Lets go for 3 weeks! Mrs BT is the frugal one and is just looking at me like I'm nuts. We'll see.
When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.

Oh, Mark, can I please send John down to join you? He has been talking about the draft for weeks. ARGH!!
Doesn't he know we need to focus on the Red Sox??
BTW, in case you don't know, Skinny Legs is VERY Pats friendly. If she gets restless after the massage (which only buys you 90 minutes max, plus whatever) you might even be able to watch the rest of the draft on multiple screens! Don't tell your wife I told you that.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Pete: I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that obsessedmuch means: if you miss the draft, is that really going to change the outcome? As in "Do you really have to watch that game NOW?!? Can't you just check the score in tomorrow's paper?"
Mind you, I love watching some games (like when any Chicago team is playing), but I have my limits. (Do you really need to watch the game when we have 20 people coming over for dinner in an hour?!)
Same logic about changing the outcome applies for yelling when at a game. "Gee honey, I think the ref is going to change his call because you yelled out that it was a clean play!"
