St. John Festival do's and dont's

Post by snorkelqueen »

Yippe - just realized we will be on-island for the first time during FESTIVAL. Anyone have any do's and don'ts? I would love to attend the Musical Mix and Queen selection and coronation don't want to impose and wonder if non-locals are welcome!

Never been to the crowning of the queen, but I'm sure locals are welcome. There is music downtown across from the post office every night. It's a good time.

DO go to the parade, but DON'T expect it to start on time. And it takes half the afternoon. The best vantage point is Quiet Mon pub next to Woody's if you can get a seat. It's my favorite part of carnival.
