STJ License Plate

Post by Nancie-Pa »

My new PA plate came yesterday! :D I am now the proud owner of "ILUVSTJ". Can't believe it was available.
Between the bumper stickers and the plate, there's no doubt where I long to be!
Any other Forumites have special plates? I know I saw "STJUSVI" on a PA plate around the Collegeville area.
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

Well my personal fav is from someone on the forum from NH, not us unfortunately, it says STJ&RUM I think......very cool. Ours is also fun, though not STJ based.....it says WAVES.

Nice! I saw a VT plate the other day that said CINNAMONBAY, but with some of the letters missing so it would fit on the license plate. I can't remember exactly how it was written. I'm only aware of two other VT forumites, and am assuming it wasn't either of them. CINNAMONBAY... are you out there?

My husband has SJ-USVI for his plate. We have had STJ travelers approach us and tell us their STJ stories.

Not a real state plate but we bought this plate at the STT market last year. We are indirectly in the water business so my husband grabbed this VI Dept of Water and Power plate -

I wish I lived in a state that would let you put a "fake" plate or no plate at all on the front of your car. That's pretty cool.

nothintolose sent me a VI plate for my car, but unfortunately it's hanging in my patio. However I DO get to see it every single day! :D

With the high cost of power[ -$ .44 a KW - last bill] - the constant outages - brownouts and voltage spikes that eat appliances and wreak havoc with electronics - I am not sure seeing a WAPA plate on a stateside trip would bring a friendly wave from a Virgin Islander - it sure would cause a big laugh though!
That WAPA employee who 'lost' his #74 plate might want it back though.
It is a common practice here that when we buy an electronic device that resets the digital clock to a blinking '12:00' after a power outage - to cover the clock numbers with black electrical tape from day one rather than continually resetting it.

The woman at the stand swears it wasn't stolen (we asked) yet she kept the box full of plates under the table. All the others were regular plates.

Congrats on your plates!

I scored with my NY plate which is the same: STJ USVI

I've only had one person so far who told me they knew what it meant. If anybody ever sees it, feel free to come talk to me! :)

Mar - I can't believe your from Harleysville. I grew up in Souderton and now live in the Upper Perk area. Did you go do SAHS? If so, what year did you graduate? Maybe we know each other :)

Hey Mar, I'll be in Harleysville (Hoffman Rd) next Sat. for a baby shower, so maybe you will see me around.

Bevm, I have family in the Doylestown area so I'll look for your plates when I'm there and give a honk.

Beth Cruz, maybe it did say SJ, not STJ! It was on a dark SUV near the Wyeth (now Pfizer) campus. I was on my way to work or I would have tried to flag them down.

Anyway, may we all be lucky enough to someday get our own USVI plates!
