2 days, 13 hours and 11 Minutes - What to pack?

Post by SCalGal »

Hi there,

Countdown is getting close. We are spending a week on ST. John at the Westin. Traded my timeshare. Took 4 years of requesting to get. Then a few days on Virgin Gorda and last night on ST Thomas. What is the dress code at night? Would like to dress up (island dress up, white cotton dress-ish) a couple nights and then a few nights we will be in cruz bay checking out places. Are nice restaurants any dressier than that? I know guys can wear shorts anywhere. I assume casual skirts and nice tanks or nice shorts are cool for women? Right now I have enough close in my pile for a month so need to put 75% back so figured, why not ask.

Thanks,
Alison

The first thing is to put 1/2 the clothes back to make room for me in your suit case. Cruz bay is pretty casul you don't have to worrying about dressing up.

My wife likes to wear the short dresses from Jams World. She sometimes brings a light sweater with her, and then she'll leave it in the car so then I have to go and get it in the middle of dinner. :) But that's OK because she takes good care of me.

Oh, I want to add that the Jams World dresses are light and don't take up much space in the luggage. They do get wrinkly though.

You will be just fine anyplace on St. John with a
white cotton dress. Wearing a dress isn't necessary, but it sure is fun....isn't it? ....mia

Hey Jerseyboy.......I just ordered 2 skirts from Jams World for a company trip I'm going on next week. Thanks for the site. I have never heard of it and they have great fashions for resort pool parties and that sort of thing. It might be a little over dressed for Woody's but not for the "nicer" STJ restaurants.

I did a rush order. Hope it gets here before Wed.

Cool, I'm sure you'll look great in them! My wife actually bought her first one in Charlotte Amalie (STT), I think it was called Local Color. I have a Jams World tie and a few shirts myself.
