Lists While On Island....

Post by greyhoundmom »

Eight days out...What do you do while you are away? I have an amazing son who volumteers to alarm the house, pick up the mail, take out the trash and, with trepidation, says he will water all the plants in the yard that the sprinkler system doesn't reach. Greyhoundmom could be ADD when it comes to her flowers. I have a ton of stuff in planters. I also have a ton of stuff in backyard 1/4 that the sytem does not reach. I am thinking of color coding everything and making list of when to water when...I know, I need intervention. Sweet J, my plants make me happy and I don't want to come home to my babies that I have been watering to dead stuff. Poor amazing son...I told him lots of cool t-shirts if everything lives! He's been twice, once a Maho Bay Camp summer worker, all he wants is cool t-shirts...easy to please, so am I if my flowers survive...fingers crossed! GHmom :)

Thats funny,

Every summer when we go away I give instruction to my "housekeeper" - (really a friend, that doesn't mind watching my house because of a full stocked bar and a swimming pool) - anyway, every year ALL my potted and hanging plants - DOA... he means well

NO T -SHIRT FOR HIM!

GHM, there's a great shirt at Skinny's. It looks like it has a Starbuck's logo on the back, but it says "Arrrbucks Pirate Coffee" and has a skull & crossbones in the middle. (of course I had to get myself one!)

This is hilarious. I was going to get my pots planted this month too for my front porch, HOWEVER, that will leave my husband and step daughter (who is 12) to take care of them while my son and I are on island later this month. Needless to say, there isnt anything in the pots but DIRT right now. At least he admitted that he wont take care of them. My stepdaughter said she would but she is Miss Socialite and Im sure will be gone days on end on overnighters etc. Hope they remember to feed the CATS!!
