tipping

Post by Wanda Creech »

We are going out with John Brandi for a boat day.
Can anyone tell me how much to tip?
Please PM me.
Thanks

I would recommend that you tip him $500 and attach a note that says "payment for XIG and Chip Boat day 2012"

We've never done a boat tour from STJ...but, in the past on boat tours we've taken in the Caribbean, we were instructed to tip the crew only.

My question is: A) Does John Brandi have a crew? And B) Since John Brandi is the Owner, and we pay him a fee for the trip, and we top the gas off after coming back to STJ, and we bring our own food/drinks. Do others tip him?

I guess I kind of liken it to not tipping your hairdresser if he/she owns the salon.

Anyway, these are just questions and we'll follow proper protocol. :)

All kidding aside, we tip John.
He will do anything and everything to make sure you have a perfect day.
We buy him lunch, too.

I tip my hairdresser and he is the owner as well.

When you provide me with a service that has a value more than what I pay, I tip. Owner or not!
