Watching air fares and may to to StJ in 2 weeks? How has the rain been the last few days? I hear the mosquitos are bad. IF there is a dry spell for a few days will that help much with them for mid June?
Sitting oceanfront at Gallows Point right now...sky is blue with some cloud cover, temps in the 80's...yesterday, it was cloudy with occasional sprinkles...We have only been here less than 24 hours but have not noticed the bugs! Swam in the pool last evening and did not get bit!....Off to go snorkling!

Just got back. The bugs were hit or miss. Definitely had lots of mosquitos at the villa which hampered our ability to sit outside unprotected. For the most part we didn't have problems at the beaches unless we were there closer to dusk. Ate at Shipwreck Landing one evening and got nailed but only on the legs. Can't explain that one. We had no appreciable rain until this past Saturday. Heard there may be more rain this week which may influence the bug population when you are down there. We found the insect repellent wipes from Cutters or Off worked reasonably well.
Regardless, I am certain you will have a great time! We certainly did!
