I'm going to have to go with the Ipad as well!! Mr. Fins loved it for his "new island gadget"

With the two little ones running around, the ipad is perfect. Get a rubber/plastic holder to protect it from getting dropped. Hubby and kids will love it and that will give you some quiet time, so it's like a gift for everyone :D

Thanks for all the ideas. We do have an IPad...well I do really. I am a speech therapist and I use it with the non-verbal kids I work with! That will def. be coming along.

Never thought about gadgets for the camera. Not sure you can get a telephoto lens for the canon d10! LOL We do have a gorillapod

He probably already has it but we never go on vacation without our portable (AC or battery powered) Ipod docking station. It's great on the boat, beach, deck, etc.

Is he an uber-griller? If so, you might get him an instant read food thermometer (I *LOVE* my Thermapen!).

Dry bags are always a nice bet. You can get lots of different sizes/types:

Also, for mens' (and womens' for that matter) clothing perfect for any Caribbean location, I LOVE LOVE LOVE ExOfficio:

A good pair of nice waterproof binoculors would be cool too for boat watching while on the beach. Also great if you have a nice view from your villa.

Don't know about you, but we always have a shortage of ice, so we got re-freezable icecubes for packing coolers and they work great.

And speaking of keeping things cold, I'm sure you probably have one, but a backpack cooler is a MUST have on St. John in my family. Lots to choose from out there.
